"Martha and Mary: A modern musical retelling of the Biblical story of Martha, Mary, and Lazarus."

Synopsis: Set in the Southern United States around the time of the economic crisis of 2008. Martha and Mary takes the New Testament Biblical siblings from the town of Bethany and sets their experience in the modern era. Martha has just moved back to her hometown, after living many years in the "big city," to help during her dying mother's last days. She is recently divorced and upset with the lack of progress her younger siblings have made in life. Mary is a loose, young, and single 20-something who would prefer that her sister leave them all alone. Lassiter has also recently moved back home after ending a long-term relationship. When the three siblings cross paths with the new traveling preacher, Joshua, their lives are forever changed by the message and experiences this one man brings to their lives.
